300+
Commercials Delivered

A body of work that speaks for itself. The platform needed to let scale communicate without commentary.

The Studio

18 Years. 300 Commercials.
One Standard.

30 Seconds of Fame is one of India's established ad film production houses. Founded in 2006 by Producer Sunil Shetty and Director Uzer Khan, the studio has spent nearly two decades producing television commercials, music videos, and branded content for some of the world's most recognised consumer brands.

This is not a boutique operation experimenting with brand content. This is a production house with nearly two decades of output, a roster of international directors, and a body of work that spans the breadth of Indian consumer culture.

The platform needed to reflect that.

The Problem
01

No Stage

A Body of Work Without a Platform

Production houses live and die by their showreel. Every new brief starts with a creative director asking: 'What have you done?' For 30 Seconds of Fame, the answer was 300+ commercials — but the platform telling that story was not keeping pace.

A studio working with Samsung, Adidas, and Maybelline cannot afford a digital presence that looks like it belongs to a wedding videographer.

02

Industry Noise

The Default Is Over-Design

Creative production companies over-design their websites. Heavy animations, slow-loading showreels, layered navigation that prioritises visual cleverness over function. Studios trying to prove their creativity through the platform itself.

When the platform is the performance, the actual commercials become secondary.

03

Scale

Content That Outgrew Its Container

Managing 300+ video entries — each with its own director, cast, crew, category, and metadata — is not a task that a standard website can handle. A simple portfolio page with embedded YouTube links breaks down at this scale.

They needed a content management system built for how a production house actually operates.

The Approach

The design philosophy was restraint. Every decision served the work, not the ego of the platform.

Visual Silence

Four Pages

Home, Folio, About, Contact. No blog, no services page, no capability decks. A production house at this level does not need to explain what it does. It needs to show what it has done.

Work First

The homepage opens with featured productions — not a mission statement, not an animation sequence. Featured work, immediately. The complete folio with category filtering below.

Instant Filtering

Ten categories: Action, Beauty, Lifestyle, Humour, Sports, Automobile, Music Video, Social Films, Behind the Scene. JavaScript-driven, no page reloads, no loading screens.

Editorial Restraint

When the audience is a creative director with fifteen tabs open and a deadline, every unnecessary element is a reason to close the tab.

A Production-House CMS

Not a website.
A searchable, relational database.

Beneath the restraint of the public site sits a deeply structured content management system, purpose-built for how a production house operates.

Video Library

Every commercial as structured content with metadata ecosystem — 7 video source types, 5 page styles, per-entry layout control.

Director Profiles

Directors as content types with individual pages and relational links back to their body of work.

Cast & Crew

Structured, repeatable data — not freeform text fields. Every person connected to every production.

Awards & Gallery

Per-video awards section with titles and imagery. Production photo galleries for behind-the-scenes.

Multi-Footer System

Library of custom footer blocks — different designs for different contexts, assignable per-page.

Theme Configuration

25+ configuration sections via Redux Framework. Header layouts, typography, colors — all without code.

Performance

Cloudways managed cloud hosting with Redis object caching via Object Cache Pro — 94MB of active cache. Sub-2-second load times with optimised asset delivery.

Security

Wordfence firewall with real-time threat blocking. Two-factor authentication. Time-limited maintenance access. Full audit trail via Simple History.

Data Integrity

301 redirect management for URL changes. Database-level find and replace for bulk updates. Mail logging for delivery tracking.

The Stewardship

Not a project that ended at launch.
A digital operation.

2015Platform foundation established
2018CMS architecture expanded
2020Performance optimization phase
2023Security hardening & Redis caching
2026Continuous stewardship ongoing

Content in the WordPress backend dates from 2015 through to April 2026. New directors are added as they join productions. New commercials are published as they are completed. The system is alive — it grows with the studio.

This is the difference between a website and a digital operation. A website is a deliverable. A digital operation is a responsibility.

Structural clarity over visual noise

When Samsung, Adidas, or Maybelline look at 30 Seconds of Fame's platform, they see a production house that operates at their level. The work is presented with the same discipline it was produced with.

Whether the audience is a creative director in Mumbai shortlisting production houses for a national campaign, or a global brand team in London reviewing international production partners, the same principle applies.

Confidence is communicated through restraint.
