Community

One Nonprofit. Every Three Months.

Sant builds websites, custom apps, and operational systems for New Zealand nonprofits, charities, and community organisations. We pick one applicant every three months and deliver the work at no cost.

Services

Tech that does the actual job.

Most nonprofit tech problems are practical. A website that does not work on phones. A booking form that takes five steps when it should take one. A spreadsheet that runs the whole organisation. These are the kinds of things Sant builds.

Websites

A clear, fast website that explains what your organisation does and how to support it. Donations, volunteer sign-ups, events, news. Built once, handed over, supported through settling-in.

Custom apps and software

Purpose-built apps and software for what your organisation actually does. Web or mobile, public-facing or internal. Replaces the off-the-shelf tools that almost fit.

Member and volunteer systems

Sign-ups, schedules, profiles, communications. Replaces the spreadsheets, group chats, and lost emails that hold most volunteer-run organisations together.

Booking and event tools

Class bookings, event registrations, ground-status alerts, RSVPs. Whatever your organisation runs, built so it runs without phone-tag.

Internal tools and dashboards

Custom tools that replace the spreadsheet everyone is afraid of. Reporting, case management, intake forms, data that lives somewhere safe.

Hosting and ongoing support

Sant Cloud hosting, SSL, backups, security monitoring. Post-launch support after handover.

The Programme

One application picked. Every three months.

Once a quarter, Sant picks one application from the queue and delivers the work at no cost. Real engineering hours, no invoice, full handover.

The selection rule is need against impact. Organisations doing the most with the least, on work that matters most to the people they serve, get picked first.

Recipients

Who we have built for so far.

Two New Zealand organisations have already received a Sant build at no cost. Both are live. Both are run by the people they were built for.

Timata

A free, no-login web app for the first thirty days after prison in New Zealand. Steps to Freedom, WINZ, ID, bank, mental health helplines. Works offline.

Rolleston Rugby Club

A custom platform for a five-hundred-player community rugby club in Canterbury. Events, ground status, alerts, photo galleries, committee tools. Volunteer-run.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you only work with registered charities?

No. Registered charities, incorporated societies, kaupapa Māori organisations, and informal community groups are welcome to apply. Registered status helps but is not required if the work clearly serves a community.

What if our application is not picked?

We do our best to fit every application into a quarter. If we cannot, yours moves to the next available slot.

Can we apply more than once?

Yes. If you were not picked one quarter, the application stays in the queue, or you can update it for the next round.

Who owns the work?

You do. Source code, design files, hosting credentials, the lot. There is no lock-in.

What about ongoing costs after the build?

One month of Sant Cloud hosting is included after launch. After that, monthly hosting is around the cost of a streaming subscription, scaled to what your organisation actually needs.

Why are you doing this?

Sant was built by migrants. New Zealand gave us a safe place to live, work, and raise families. The quarterly programme is one way to put something back.
